Shop Instant Snow: 50g $16.90 · 100g $28.90
How it works
- Pour the powder into a bowl or tray.
- Add water, about 30 ml for every gram of powder (10g → about 300 ml), and watch it puff up in seconds.
- Fluff and style. Spoon it into your display, then shape drifts with a spoon or brush.
- Refresh with a light mist of water if it starts to look flat. Made-up snow stays fluffy for up to about a week indoors.
How much do I need?
| Pack | Makes about | Covers about (1cm deep) | Great for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10g (from a 50g pack) | 600 ml | a 20 x 30cm tray | a single centrepiece or photo prop |
| 50g | 3 litres | about 0.3 m² (e.g. a 60 x 50cm base) | a Christmas village, a table runner of snow, a mantelpiece |
| 100g | 6 litres | about 0.6 m² | a shop-window base, a long dining table, event styling |
Tip: you don't need to make it all at once. Mix small batches as you go and keep the rest of the powder dry and sealed.
Ideas for using instant snow
- Christmas tables: run a strip of snow down the centre of the table, then nestle in pinecones, candles in jars, baubles and greenery. Pair it with our Red & Green Christmas water beads in glass vases.
- Christmas villages and Nativity scenes: give your miniature village a fresh snowfall. Lay a sheet of plastic or a tray underneath first.
- Shop and home windows: create snowy drifts along a window sill or in a lined display tray for a wintry window that stops people in their tracks. Keep it in a tray, not directly on the glass or timber.
- Events and "Christmas in July": winter-wonderland parties, corporate end-of-year functions, photo backdrops and themed bars. Snow-filled lanterns and glass jars look magical under fairy lights.
- Photography and product styling: a quick, inexpensive snow surface for flat-lays, Christmas cards, product shots and social content.
- Vases and lanterns: layer snow with white or clear water beads for a frosty look.

FAQs
How do I make instant snow?
Sprinkle the powder into a bowl, then pour in water and wait a few seconds. As a guide, 10g of powder with about 300ml of water makes roughly 600ml of fluffy snow. Add water a little at a time until you get the texture you like.
How much instant snow do I need?
One 50g pack makes about 3 litres of snow and a 100g pack makes about 6 litres. A 60 x 30cm Christmas village base about 1cm deep takes roughly 2 litres, so a 50g pack is a good start for a table display.
How long does the snow last?
Made-up snow stays fluffy for up to about a week indoors. If it starts to look flat, mist it with a little water and fluff it with a spoon.
Is instant snow cold or wet?
It isn't cold. It's a damp, fluffy gel that looks like fresh snow, so keep it in a tray, bowl or lined display. Keep it off timber, paper, fabric and electronics.
Can I use instant snow outdoors?
It's best used indoors or in sheltered displays. Rain will wash it away and strong sun dries it out.
Is instant snow a toy?
No. Instant snow is a decorative product for displays and styling. It isn't a toy and isn't edible. Keep the powder and made-up snow away from children and pets, and don't use it near food or drinks.
How do I get rid of it?
Scoop it into a bag and put it in the general waste bin. Don't tip it down sinks, drains or toilets, because it absorbs water and can cause blockages.
When should I order for Christmas?
The last day to order for Christmas is Saturday 19 December. Post to WA, Tasmania, the NT and regional areas can take longer, so the sooner you order the better. Express Post is available at checkout.
